The Texas Conservative Commitment
As conservative members and nominees of the House of Representatives and as Texans we propose to strengthen the bonds of trust between the people and their elected representatives. That is why we offer this agenda and written commitment, which will transform the future of Texas. In the 89th legislative Session, we will continue to create a culture of life, fully protecting it from conception to natural death; ensure Texas is the most pro-2nd Amendment state in the country; defend our laws that ban transgender medical and surgical treatments in children; and reduce regulations to keep the Texas economy growing. We shall also unite, prioritize, and pass the following:
- Border Security: Enact the strongest laws possible to defend our Southern Border, ensure illegals are denied entry and are not incentivized to be in our State, protect Texas sovereignty, and stop the flow of fentanyl into our communities.
- Parent Empowerment: Pass universal school choice that fully empowers every parent to choose the school that is best for their child.
- Election Integrity: Enact the strongest election integrity laws in the Country, ensuring only US Citizens can vote, and make sure those who commit election fraud are fully prosecuted.
- Property Taxes: Meaningfully cut property taxes to drive greater prosperity and job growth, creating a pathway to fully eliminating M&O taxes and decreasing local debt.
- Public Education: Stop the leftist indoctrination of our children in our public schools and return them to a classical education where they value our heritage.
- Higher Education: Restore the proper purpose of higher education to foster truth, discovery, and knowledge, and eliminate the elements that promote intimidation and indoctrination.
- State Security and Sovereignty: Secure Texas from hostile foreign countries and organizations by prohibiting ownership of critical infrastructure, land, or other resources that could undermine our sovereignty and security; and, defy federal actions that violate Texans’ Constitutional rights.
- Protect Children: Fully protect children from predatory threats online and throughout our communities.
- Ban Taxpayer Funded Lobbying: Prohibit the use of tax dollars to fund lobbyists and ensure tax dollars are not used against the taxpayers’ interest.
- Grid Reliability: Ensure the power grid can reliably and affordably provide the energy Texas needs to grow our economy and keep Texans safe.
